Yesterday – at the Taunton Flower Show – I discovered an artist who has the rare ability to capture light and luminescence in her seascapes – especially the Cornish coast. Artists flock to the area of St Ives seeking that light, but so few artists are able to reproduce these elements in their paintings – producing flat, dull seascapes which frustrate me with their lack of those magical ingredients. Cornwall is my second home, and my best friend and I return year after year, renting a cottage either in the St Levan area or the Lizard peninsula. We love walking the coastal path near Porthcurno Beach and St Loy’s Cove and between Zennor and St Ives. I am thrilled with the two prints I bought from you – “Gone Fishing” (Exmouth Dunes) and “Seagulls and Waders” (Porthminster, St Ives). It was a delight to meet you and I will keep my eyes on your website for new works. Jane Rollason
